Where do you feel alive? At peace?
The difference between having a house and living in a home is enormous. You have a house where you satisfy your basic animal needs: eat, sleep, have shelter. But when you transcend your other human needs: find beauty, peace, love, creativity you have achieved a home.
Your home should be your sanctuary. The place you feel safe, hopeful, loved and supported. The place you spend your life should be where you can grow, think, explore your hobbies. It shouldn’t be a place where you just accumulate stuff. Your home is much more than a garage for your possessions. – it’s a place where you can fulfill your passions, where you recharge your body, where you can rest your soul and soar.
If your home is just a messy hold pen for “things” instead of a beautiful space that makes you feel safe and calm, something is wrong.
To transform a house into the home of your dreams, there are steps you can take. Be mindful of the things you surround yourself with. Create a dedicated space for the things you love. Don’t buy things that don’t have a specific intention. Get rid of the stuff you no longer use or make you happy. But above all else, surround yourself with positive, meaningful and beautiful things that reflect your best self. It will instantly show and improve the quality of your life.
